Vegetarian Carbonara Pasta
A rich vegetarian take on Italian carbonara using potatoes, ham, and Gruyère for a creamy sauce.

Ingredients
- 300 g Pasta
- 200 g Potatoes
- 80 g Ham
- 100 g Grated Gruyère
- 150 ml Crème fraîche
- 2 l Water
- 20 g Butter
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Peel and cut the potatoes into small cubes. Cut the ham into strips.
Step 2
Bring water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package directions.
Step 3
Meanwhile, heat the butter in a pan and cook the potato cubes for 6 minutes.
Step 4
Add the ham and cook for 2 minutes. Pour in the crème fraîche and Gruyère, and mix well.
Step 5
Drain the pasta and add it to the pan. Mix well, season with salt and pepper.
Step 6
Serve immediately.
