Simplified Carbonara Pasta with Eggs and Gruyère
A light and quick carbonara that captures the essence of the classic dish. A creamy sauce forms with eggs and Gruyère for a delicious result in 20 minutes.

Ingredients
- 300 g Penne
- 150 g Ham
- 100 g Gruyère
- 3 piece Eggs
- 1.5 l Water
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Bring salted water to a boil in a pot and cook the penne according to package directions.
Step 2
Meanwhile, crack the eggs into a bowl and lightly beat them with the grated Gruyère.
Step 3
Cut the ham into small cubes and quickly brown in a pan with the oil.
Step 4
Drain the pasta while reserving some cooking water. Add it to the hot ham.
Step 5
Remove from heat, quickly add the egg-Gruyère mixture while stirring to create a creamy sauce. Season and serve.
