Simplified Carbonara Pasta with Ham
An easy French-style carbonara with ham, cheese and eggs. Creamy and delicious without complicated cream.

Ingredients
- 200 g Pasta
- 100 g Ham
- 80 g Cheese
- 2 unit Eggs
- 15 g Butter
- 1 pinch Black pepper
- 1 pinch Salt
- 2 l Water
Instructions
Step 1
Bring salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package directions.
Step 2
Dice the ham and sauté in a pan with butter for 2 minutes.
Step 3
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs with grated cheese and black pepper.
Step 4
Drain the pasta, reserving a glass of cooking water, and combine with the ham.
Step 5
Remove from heat and quickly stir in the egg-cheese mixture along with the cooking water to create a creamy sauce.
Step 6
Serve immediately with a crack of fresh black pepper.
