Simplified Carbonara Pasta
The simplified version of the Italian classic: pasta, cheese, ham, and egg for an easy, quick carbonara without cream.

Ingredients
- 250 g Pasta
- 150 g Ham
- 2 piece Eggs
- 80 g Gruyère
- 50 g Parmesan
- 1 tsp Black pepper
- à goût pinch Salt
- 2 l Water
Instructions
Step 1
Bring salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions.
Step 2
Meanwhile, dice the ham and grate both cheeses.
Step 3
In a bowl, whisk the eggs with the grated cheeses and black pepper.
Step 4
Drain the pasta, reserving a glass of cooking water.
Step 5
Pour the hot pasta into the egg mixture, add the ham, and stir quickly. If too dry, add a splash of cooking water.
Step 6
Serve immediately while hot.
