Simplified Carbonara Pasta
A lighter take on Italian carbonara using ham instead of guanciale. Creamy and delicious in 25 minutes.

Ingredients
- 200 g Pasta
- 100 g Ham
- 2 piece Eggs
- 100 ml Crème fraîche
- 20 g Butter
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
- 1.5 l Water
Instructions
Step 1
Bring salted water to a boil and cook the pasta al dente.
Step 2
Meanwhile, slice the ham and whisk the eggs with the crème fraîche.
Step 3
In a pan, sauté the ham in butter for 2 minutes.
Step 4
Drain the pasta and pour it into the pan with the egg-cream mixture.
Step 5
Toss quickly over very low heat for a few seconds, season with salt and pepper. Serve immediately.
