Simplified Carbonara Pasta
An easy version of classic Italian carbonara: pasta, eggs, ham, and cheese for a creamy and savory sauce.

Ingredients
- 200 g Pasta
- 2 piece Eggs
- 100 g Ham
- 50 g Parmesan
- 800 ml Water
- 5 g Salt
- 3 g Pepper
- 10 ml Olive oil
Instructions
Step 1
Bring water to a boil with salt in a saucepan.
Step 2
Beat the eggs with grated Parmesan, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
Step 3
Dice the ham and brown it in a skillet with olive oil.
Step 4
Cook the pasta al dente according to package directions (about 10 minutes).
Step 5
Drain the pasta, reserving 100 ml of cooking water.
Step 6
Quickly pour the hot pasta into the egg-cheese mixture, add the ham, and mix vigorously.
Step 7
If too thick, add a little reserved cooking water to achieve a creamy sauce.
