Simple Carbonara Pasta with Broccoli
A classic Italian twist with added broccoli for extra vegetables. Rich, indulgent, and ready in 25 minutes.
Ingredients
- 400 g Pasta
- 150 g Ham or bacon
- 200 g Broccoli
- 100 g Cheese
- 3 piece Eggs
- 20 g Butter
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Black pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions.
Step 2
Meanwhile, dice the ham into small pieces and cut the broccoli into florets.
Step 3
In a bowl, whisk the eggs with the grated cheese, season with salt and pepper.
Step 4
About 5 minutes before the pasta is done, add the broccoli to the boiling water.
Step 5
Melt the butter in a skillet, add the ham and lightly brown it.
Step 6
Drain the pasta and broccoli. Add them to the skillet with the ham and remove from heat.
Step 7
Quickly pour the egg mixture over the hot pasta while stirring well. The residual heat will cook the eggs. Serve immediately.
