Indulgent Carbonara-Inspired Pasta
A simplified Italian carbonara with ham, egg, and cheese, finished with grated dark chocolate for a sweet-savory twist.

Ingredients
- 250 g Pasta
- 120 g Ham
- 2 piece Eggs
- 60 g Parmesan
- 40 g Gruyère
- 20 g Dark chocolate
- 100 ml Heavy cream
- 20 g Butter
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Bring salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package directions.
Step 2
Meanwhile, dice the ham and sauté in a pan for 2-3 minutes.
Step 3
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, grated Parmesan, and Gruyère.
Step 4
Drain the pasta, reserving a glass of cooking water.
Step 5
Toss the hot pasta with the ham. Remove from heat and pour the egg mixture over, stirring to create a sauce. Add a splash of pasta water if needed.
Step 6
Season with salt and pepper. Serve with grated dark chocolate on top for a decadent finish.
