Homemade Carbonara Pasta with Crispy Ham
A twist on carbonara using ham from the fridge in place of bacon for a crispy finish. Creamy, indulgent, and ready in 25 minutes.

Ingredients
- 400 g Pasta
- 200 g Ham
- 100 g Gruyère
- 4 piece Egg
- 30 g Butter
- 2 L Water
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Bring salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package directions.
Step 2
Meanwhile, dice the ham and sauté in a pan with butter for 3-4 minutes until crispy.
Step 3
Whisk the eggs in a bowl with shredded Gruyère, salt, and pepper.
Step 4
Drain the pasta and immediately add it to the bowl with the egg mixture. Add the crispy ham with its butter.
Step 5
Toss quickly to create a creamy sauce. Serve at once.
