Pasta Carbonara with Apples and Bacon
A reinvented carbonara with a sweet-savory twist thanks to caramelized apples and crispy bacon. A delightful and surprising dish.

Ingredients
- 400 g Pasta (penne or spaghetti)
- 2 piece Apples
- 150 g Bacon lardons
- 3 piece Eggs
- 80 g Grated Parmesan
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 2 l Water
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Bring water to a boil, add salt and pasta, cook according to package instructions.
Step 2
Meanwhile, peel and cut the apples into small cubes.
Step 3
Sauté the bacon in a skillet until crispy.
Step 4
Add the apples and butter, cook for 3 minutes until lightly caramelized.
Step 5
Beat the eggs in a bowl with Parmesan, salt and pepper.
Step 6
Drain the pasta al dente and add it to the skillet with bacon and apples.
Step 7
Remove from heat and pour the egg-Parmesan mixture, mix well to coat.
Step 8
Serve immediately with fresh pepper.
