Homemade Bolognese Pasta
A true Italian Bolognese with a rich, savory sauce made from carrots and meat. A classic comfort food that warms the whole family.

Ingredients
- 400 g Penne
- 300 g Ground meat
- 2 piece Carrot
- 1 piece Onion
- 400 g Crushed tomatoes
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 clove Garlic
- à volonté pinch Salt
- à volonté pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Peel and chop the onion and garlic, cut the carrots into small dice.
Step 2
Heat the oil in a Dutch oven and sauté the onion and garlic for 2 minutes.
Step 3
Add the ground meat and brown it, breaking up any lumps, for about 8 minutes.
Step 4
Add the diced carrots and cook for 5 minutes.
Step 5
Pour in the crushed tomatoes and let simmer for 20 minutes over low heat.
Step 6
Meanwhile, cook the pasta in salted boiling water.
Step 7
Season the sauce and serve over the drained pasta.
