Sweet French Toast with Homemade Applesauce
A comforting and simple dessert: slices of white bread dipped in an egg and milk mixture, pan-fried, and served with homemade applesauce. Pure comfort food.

Ingredients
- 200 g White bread
- 4 piece Apples
- 40 g Sugar
- 30 g Butter
- 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
- 2 piece Eggs
- 150 ml Milk
- 1 tsp Vanilla sugar
Instructions
Step 1
Peel and chop the apples, cook them in a pan with 15g butter and 20g sugar until soft. Add the cinnamon.
Step 2
In a bowl, beat the eggs with the milk and vanilla sugar. Cut the bread into slices and dip them in this mixture.
Step 3
Melt 15g butter in a pan and cook the soaked slices 2-3 minutes on each side until golden. Serve with the warm applesauce.
