Everyday Pad Thai with Shrimp
A simplified yet authentic Pad Thai with shrimp, small pasta shells replacing rice noodles, and a peanut-lime sauce. Tasty and satisfying.

Ingredients
- 300 g Shrimp
- 200 g Small pasta shells
- 3 tbsp Oil
- 1.5 l Water
- 3 tbsp Peanut butter
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 piece Fresh lemon
- 2 clove Garlic
- 1 piece Onion
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Boil the salted water and cook the pasta shells for 8-10 minutes. Drain.
Step 2
Mince the garlic and onion. Juice the lemon. Dilute the peanut butter with 100ml of warm water.
Step 3
Heat the oil in a wok and stir-fry the shrimp over high heat for 3-4 minutes.
Step 4
Add the garlic and onion, cook for 1 minute.
Step 5
Add the diluted peanut sauce and soy sauce. Mix well.
Step 6
Add the cooked pasta and lemon juice. Toss for 1-2 minutes.
Step 7
Season with salt and pepper. Serve immediately.
