Swedish Meatballs
Tender Swedish meatballs served with a creamy mushroom sauce. A comforting Scandinavian classic.

Ingredients
- 400 g Ground pork
- 200 g Ground beef
- 1 piece Onion
- 50 g Stale bread
- 50 ml Milk
- 1 piece Egg
- 250 g Button mushrooms
- 200 ml Sour cream
- 200 ml Beef broth
- 40 g Butter
- 5 g Salt and pepper
- 400 g Sweet potato
Instructions
Step 1
Soak the stale bread in milk. Finely chop the onion. Mix ground meats, onion, soaked bread, egg, salt, and pepper.
Step 2
Form 16 even meatballs with damp hands.
Step 3
Heat butter in a large skillet. Brown the meatballs for 10 minutes, turning regularly until golden.
Step 4
Add sliced mushrooms, beef broth, and sour cream. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Step 5
Serve with steamed sweet potatoes.
