Swedish Meatballs with Lingonberries
Classic Swedish beef meatballs served with creamy sauce and lingonberries, accompanied by beets and potatoes.

Ingredients
- 500 g Ground beef
- 100 g Onion
- 50 g Breadcrumbs
- 80 ml Milk
- 1 piece Egg
- 200 ml Heavy sour cream
- 15 ml Worcestershire sauce
- 300 g Cooked beets
- 150 g Lingonberries
- 400 g Potatoes
Instructions
Step 1
Soak the breadcrumbs in milk. Mix the ground beef with finely chopped onion, egg, soaked breadcrumbs and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 2
Boil the potatoes for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, form meatballs about 2 cm in diameter.
Step 3
Brown the meatballs in a skillet for 10-12 minutes, turning regularly.
Step 4
Remove the meatballs. Pour the sour cream into the skillet, add the lingonberries. Heat for 2 minutes without boiling.
Step 5
Serve the meatballs with sauce, cooked potatoes and beets.
