Egyptian Lamb Kofta with Tahini Sauce
Spiced lamb meatballs with fresh parsley and onion, served with creamy tahini sauce and herb-infused white rice.

Ingredients
- 600 g Ground lamb
- 1 handful Fresh parsley
- 2 piece Onion
- 3 clove Garlic
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 0.5 tsp Ground coriander
- 0.25 tsp Cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp Salt and pepper
- 1 piece Egg
- 3 tbsp Olive oil
- 150 g Tahini paste
- 50 ml Lemon juice
- 100 ml Water
- 250 g White rice
Instructions
Step 1
Start cooking the white rice with fresh mint.
Step 2
Finely chop the parsley, onion, and garlic for the kofta.
Step 3
Mix the lamb, parsley, onion, garlic, spices, salt, pepper, and egg.
Step 4
Shape into 7 cm elongated meatballs.
Step 5
Pan-fry the kofta with olive oil for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally.
Step 6
Mix tahini, lemon juice, and water to create a smooth sauce.
Step 7
Serve the hot kofta with rice and tahini sauce.
