Khachapuri (Georgian Cheese Bread)
Warm cheese-filled bread with a runny egg, a Georgian specialty. Golden and crispy on the outside, melting on the inside.

Ingredients
- 350 g White flour
- 300 g Fresh white cheese
- 100 g Grated hard cheese
- 5 piece Eggs
- 50 g Butter
- 1.5 tsp Baking powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 150 ml Warm milk
- 2 tbsp Oil for brushing
Instructions
Step 1
Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Create a well, add 2 eggs, milk and oil.
Step 2
Knead for 5 minutes until dough is smooth and elastic.
Step 3
Form 4 balls and let rest for 10 minutes.
Step 4
Mix white cheese, grated cheese and 2 eggs.
Step 5
Roll out each ball into a disk and place filling in the center.
Step 6
Seal and shape into a boat or baghelle, creating a well in the center.
Step 7
Brush with melted butter and bake for 20-25 minutes at 200°C.
Step 8
Crack a raw egg into the well at the end of cooking and return to oven for 2 minutes.
