Ham and Olives in Gratinéed Tomato Sauce
A savory gratin combining ham and olives in a simple tomato sauce, topped with melted cheese. Mediterranean comfort food.

Ingredients
- 200 g Ham
- 100 g Olives
- 400 g Tomato sauce
- 120 g Grated cheese (Emmental or Mozzarella)
- 1 piece Onion
- 20 ml Olive oil
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Finely chop the onion.
Step 2
Sauté the onion in a skillet with olive oil for 3 minutes.
Step 3
Add the tomato sauce and simmer for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 4
Cut the ham into bite-sized pieces and add to the sauce with the olives.
Step 5
Pour the mixture into a tart dish or baking pan.
Step 6
Generously cover with grated cheese and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Step 7
Let rest for 1-2 minutes and serve hot.
