Gratin of Apples and Pears with Gruyère
A sweet and savory gratin where fruit mingles with melting cheese. Perfect as a side dish or light main course.

Ingredients
- 3 pieces Apple
- 2 pieces Pear
- 150 g Gruyère
- 40 g Butter
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C.
Step 2
Peel and slice the apples and pears into thin slices.
Step 3
Butter a baking dish.
Step 4
Arrange the fruit in alternating layers in the dish and sprinkle with sugar.
Step 5
Grate the Gruyère and cover the fruit. Add small knobs of butter.
Step 6
Bake for 25 minutes until golden and fruit is tender.
