Potato and Ham Gratin
A classic French comfort food perfect for weeknight dinners: potatoes cooked in cream with ham and mushrooms.

Ingredients
- 800 g Potatoes
- 200 g Ham
- 200 g Mushrooms
- 250 ml Milk
- 40 g Butter
- 2 tbsp Flour
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Peel and slice the potatoes thinly. Dice the ham and slice the mushrooms.
Step 2
Melt the butter in a pot, sprinkle with flour, stir, then gradually add the milk to make a smooth béchamel sauce.
Step 3
Season the sauce with salt and pepper. Add the mushrooms and ham to the sauce.
Step 4
Layer the potatoes in a buttered dish and pour the sauce over top.
Step 5
Bake at 200°C for 35 minutes until the gratin is golden and the potatoes are tender.
Step 6
Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
