Potato and Carrot Gratin
A classic and savory gratin baked in the oven with alternating layers of potatoes and carrots. Pure comfort food.

Ingredients
- 600 g Potatoes
- 300 g Carrots
- 250 ml Water
- 40 g Butter
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 200°C.
Step 2
Peel potatoes and carrots, then cut them into thin slices.
Step 3
Butter a gratin dish and lightly oil it.
Step 4
Layer the slices alternating potatoes and carrots, seasoning with salt and pepper between layers.
Step 5
Pour water between the layers and dot the top with butter.
Step 6
Bake for 35 minutes until vegetables are tender and golden.
