Potato and Carrot Gratin
A savory and comforting gratin baked in the oven with a golden crust. Perfect as a main dish or side.

Ingredients
- 600 g Potatoes
- 3 pieces Carrots
- 30 g Butter
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 250 ml Water
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 200°C.
Step 2
Peel and slice the potatoes thinly using a knife or mandoline.
Step 3
Peel the carrots and slice them into thin rounds.
Step 4
Butter a gratin dish and alternate layers of potatoes and carrots.
Step 5
Pour water seasoned with salt and pepper over everything, add dots of butter on top.
Step 6
Bake for 35 minutes until the top is golden and vegetables are tender.
