Potato and Carrot Gratin
A simple and satisfying gratin with layers of potatoes and carrots cooked in butter. A French comfort food classic.

Ingredients
- 600 g Potatoes
- 300 g Carrots
- 30 g Butter
- 250 ml Water
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C.
Step 2
Peel and slice the potatoes and carrots into thin rounds.
Step 3
Butter a baking dish and arrange the slices in alternating layers of potatoes and carrots.
Step 4
Pour the water over the gratin and season generously with salt and pepper.
Step 5
Dot the top with small pieces of butter.
Step 6
Bake for 30 minutes until the top is golden and the vegetables are tender.
