Potato, Carrot, and Lentil Gratin with Cheese
A hearty and comforting gratin combining lentils, root vegetables, and melted cheese. Perfect for a complete and satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 500 g Potatoes
- 300 g Carrots
- 200 g Cooked lentils
- 200 ml Heavy cream
- 150 g Shredded cheese
- 1 piece Onion
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
- 1 tsp Herbes de Provence
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C.
Step 2
Peel and thinly slice the potatoes and carrots. Chop the onion.
Step 3
Butter a baking dish and arrange one-third of the potato and carrot mixture.
Step 4
Add half the lentils and onion, then one-third of the potato and carrot mixture.
Step 5
Add the remaining lentils and onion, then the final third of the potato and carrot mixture.
Step 6
Mix the heavy cream with salt, pepper, and Herbes de Provence, then pour over the gratin.
Step 7
Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the top.
Step 8
Bake for 30 minutes until the gratin is golden and the potatoes are tender.
Step 9
Serve hot straight from the oven.
