Potato and Walnut Gratin
A traditional French gratin enriched with crushed walnuts that add crunch and depth to the dish. Perfect as a side or main course.

Ingredients
- 800 g Potatoes
- 80 g Walnuts
- 50 g Butter
- 2 tbsp Flour
- 300 ml Water
- à goût g Salt
- à goût g Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Peel and thinly slice the potatoes.
Step 2
Crush the walnuts in a food processor until you reach a coarse texture.
Step 3
In a saucepan, melt the butter and sprinkle with flour, stirring to form a light roux.
Step 4
Gradually pour in the water while stirring until you get a smooth, homogeneous sauce.
Step 5
Season the sauce with salt and pepper. Add the sliced potatoes and crushed walnuts.
Step 6
Pour the mixture into a baking dish and bake for 35 minutes until golden brown.
