Potato and Carrot Gratin
A simple and hearty gratin with alternating layers of potatoes, carrots, and Gruyère. Both comforting and light.

Ingredients
- 600 g Potatoes
- 300 g Carrots
- 80 g Gruyère
- 20 g Butter
- 200 ml Water
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C.
Step 2
Peel and thinly slice the potatoes and carrots.
Step 3
Butter a baking dish and create alternating layers: potatoes, carrots, potatoes.
Step 4
Season with salt and pepper, pour water over, and top with grated Gruyère.
Step 5
Bake for 35 minutes until potatoes are tender and the top is golden.
