Potato and Carrot Gratin
A savory gratin with potatoes and carrots baked in the oven with Gruyère. Comforting and simple to prepare.

Ingredients
- 600 g Potatoes
- 300 g Carrots
- 80 g Gruyère
- 40 g Butter
- 200 ml Water
- 5 g Salt
- 2 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Step 2
Peel and thinly slice the potatoes and carrots.
Step 3
Butter a baking dish and arrange alternating slices of potatoes and carrots.
Step 4
Pour water over the vegetables, season with salt and pepper.
Step 5
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
Step 6
Remove the foil, sprinkle with grated Gruyère and continue baking for 10 minutes until golden brown.
