Ham and Gruyère Potato Gratin

- 800 g Potatoes
- 150 g Ham
- 100 g Gruyère
- 30 g Butter
- 20 g Flour
- 400 ml Water
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Peel and slice the potatoes into thin rounds.
Step 2
Dice the ham and grate the Gruyère.
Step 3
Melt the butter in a pot, add the flour and stir to form a roux. Gradually pour in the water while stirring to create a smooth sauce.
Step 4
Season the sauce with salt and pepper. Remove from heat.
Step 5
In a baking dish, layer the potatoes, ham, and Gruyère alternately. Pour the sauce over the top.
Step 6
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until the top is golden and the potatoes are tender.
