Gratin of Potatoes with Ham and Mushrooms
A comforting and simple gratin made with classic pantry ingredients. The perfect evening meal served with a side salad.

Ingredients
- 800 g Potatoes
- 150 g Ham
- 200 g Mushrooms
- 250 ml Milk
- 30 g Butter
- 2 tbsp Flour
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C.
Step 2
Peel and slice the potatoes into thin rounds.
Step 3
Cut the ham into small dice and slice the mushrooms.
Step 4
Make a béchamel: melt the butter, add the flour and cook for 1 minute, then gradually pour in the milk while stirring.
Step 5
Spread half of the potato slices in a buttered dish, then half of the ham and mushrooms.
Step 6
Repeat with the remaining ingredients, then pour the béchamel over the top.
Step 7
Bake for 35-40 minutes until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden.
