Ham and Potato Gratin
A comforting gratin made with potatoes, ham and simple béchamel sauce. A timeless classic.

Ingredients
- 800 g Potatoes
- 150 g Ham
- 400 ml Milk
- 2 tbsp Flour
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Peel and thinly slice the potatoes.
Step 2
Melt the butter in a saucepan, add the flour and mix well to form a roux.
Step 3
Gradually pour in the milk while stirring to avoid lumps. Cook for 5 minutes. Season.
Step 4
Dice the ham. Layer the potatoes and ham alternately in a baking dish.
Step 5
Pour the béchamel sauce over the top. Bake for 35 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
