Penne Gratin with Tomatoes and Gruyère
A savory French gratin where penne pasta is cooked with fresh tomatoes and topped with melted Gruyère cheese that browns in the oven.

Ingredients
- 250 g Penne
- 300 g Tomatoes
- 80 g Gruyère
- 1 stalk Celery stalk
- 20 g Butter
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the penne for 10 minutes.
Step 2
Crush the tomatoes and chop the celery. Sauté the celery in butter in a pan.
Step 3
Add the crushed tomatoes, season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Step 4
Drain the penne and mix with the tomato sauce.
Step 5
Pour into a baking dish, sprinkle with grated Gruyère, and bake for 10 minutes until golden.
