Penne Vegetable and Ham Gratin
A savory gratin with penne, carrots, celery, ham, and melted Gruyère cheese. Hearty and indulgent, perfect for dinner.
Ingredients
- 350 g Penne
- 150 g Ham
- 2 piece Carrots
- 1 stalk Celery stalk
- 150 g Gruyère
- 40 g Butter
- 200 ml Crème fraîche
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 200°C. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the penne 2-3 minutes less than the package instructions (it will continue cooking in the oven).
Step 2
Meanwhile, peel and dice the carrots into small pieces. Cut the celery into small chunks. Slice the ham into strips.
Step 3
Pour the drained penne into an oven-safe dish and add the ham, carrots, and celery.
Step 4
Pour the crème fraîche over the pasta and mix well. Generously sprinkle grated Gruyère on top and add a few small pieces of butter.
Step 5
Bake for 20-25 minutes until the top is golden and bubbling.
Step 6
Season with salt and pepper when removed from the oven. Let rest for 2 minutes before serving.
