Penne Gratin with Zucchini and Mozzarella
Penne tossed with sautéed zucchini and melted cheese baked until golden. A classic, flavorful, and light gratin.
Ingredients
- 250 g Penne
- 300 g Zucchini
- 150 g Grated mozzarella
- 200 g Crushed tomatoes
- 1 medium Onion
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 2 tbsp Oil
- à volonté pinch Salt
- à volonté pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 190°C.
Step 2
Bring salted water to a boil and cook the penne according to package directions (about 10-12 minutes). Drain.
Step 3
Cut the zucchini into small dice and mince the onion finely.
Step 4
Sauté the onion and garlic in oil in a pan for 2 minutes.
Step 5
Add the diced zucchini and sauté for 5-6 minutes.
Step 6
Pour in the crushed tomatoes, season with salt and pepper, and simmer for 3 minutes.
Step 7
Mix the penne with the sauce and transfer to a baking dish.
Step 8
Generously sprinkle grated mozzarella and bake for 12-15 minutes until the cheese is golden.
