Baked Penne with Gruyere and Tomato
A classic French comfort dish: penne coated in tomato sauce, topped with gruyere and baked until golden. Ready in 35 minutes for a delicious meal.

Ingredients
- 350 g Penne
- 500 ml Tomato sauce
- 100 g Gruyere
- 20 g Butter
- 1 stalk Celery
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Step 2
Cook the penne in a pot of salted water according to package directions (about 11 minutes).
Step 3
Finely chop the celery.
Step 4
In a skillet, heat the oil and sauté the celery for 3 minutes, then add the tomato sauce.
Step 5
Drain the penne and mix it with the tomato sauce and celery in a baking dish.
Step 6
Shred the gruyere and sprinkle generously over the top. Add small pieces of butter.
Step 7
Bake for 12-15 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
