Penne Gratin with Gruyère and Ham
A comforting classic: pasta baked with ham and cheese. Easy to prepare and always a family favorite.

Ingredients
- 250 g Penne
- 150 g Ham
- 120 g Gruyère
- 30 g Butter
- 30 g Flour
- 400 ml Milk
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Bring pasta to a boil in salted water until half-cooked (7-8 minutes). Drain.
Step 2
Meanwhile, prepare a béchamel sauce: melt butter in a saucepan, add flour and stir.
Step 3
Gradually pour in the milk while stirring with a whisk. Cook for 5 minutes and season to taste.
Step 4
Chop the ham into pieces and add to the béchamel with 80g of grated Gruyère.
Step 5
Mix the pasta with the sauce in a baking dish. Top with remaining Gruyère.
Step 6
Bake at 200°C for 15 minutes until golden brown.
