Vegetarian Pasta Gratin
A comforting gratin with shell pasta, carrots, and homemade béchamel sauce. Baked until golden, it's true comfort food.

Ingredients
- 250 g Shell pasta
- 2 pieces Carrot
- 3 tbsp Butter
- 3 tbsp Flour
- 400 ml Milk
- 100 g Grated cheese
- 1 tsp Salt
- 0.5 tsp Pepper
- 0.25 tsp Nutmeg
Instructions
Step 1
Cook the shell pasta according to package directions. Peel and cook the carrots for 8 minutes.
Step 2
Prepare the béchamel: melt the butter, add the flour, cook for 2 minutes, then gradually pour in the milk.
Step 3
Let the béchamel thicken for 5 minutes, add the cheese, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
Step 4
Combine the pasta, carrots, and béchamel in a baking dish. Top with grated cheese.
Step 5
Bake at 180°C for 15 minutes until golden brown.
