Pasta, Ham and Broccoli Bake with Béchamel Sauce
A comforting French pasta bake with ham, broccoli, and creamy béchamel sauce, baked until golden—perfect for a family Sunday dinner.
Ingredients
- 300 g Pasta
- 150 g Ham
- 300 g Broccoli
- 40 g Butter
- 3 tbsp Flour
- 500 ml Milk
- 100 g Grated Gruyère
- 50 g Grated Parmesan
- À volonté pinch Salt
- À volonté pinch Pepper
- 1 pinch Nutmeg
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 180°C.
Step 2
Cook the pasta in boiling salted water until al dente, adding broccoli florets 5 minutes before the end. Drain.
Step 3
Cut the ham into small pieces and mix with the pasta and broccoli.
Step 4
Prepare the béchamel: melt the butter in a saucepan, add the flour, and stir well for 2 minutes.
Step 5
Gradually pour in the milk while stirring constantly with a whisk to prevent lumps. Let thicken for 5-6 minutes.
Step 6
Add the Gruyère to the béchamel and stir. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
Step 7
Pour the béchamel over the pasta, ham, and broccoli. Mix well and transfer to a baking dish.
Step 8
Sprinkle Parmesan over the top and bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
Step 9
Let rest for 2-3 minutes before serving.
