Ham, Broccoli and Pasta Bake
A comforting and indulgent baked pasta dish: pasta, ham, broccoli, and a generous layer of melted cheese. Ready in less than 45 minutes.
Ingredients
- 300 g Pasta
- 300 g Broccoli
- 150 g Ham
- 150 g Gruyère
- 40 g Butter
- 3 tbsp Flour
- 500 ml Milk
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Cook the pasta in salted water for 8 minutes (not quite al dente), then drain.
Step 2
Steam or boil the broccoli for 5 minutes, drain and cut into small florets.
Step 3
Cut the ham into small dice.
Step 4
Make a béchamel sauce: melt the butter, add the flour, cook for 2 minutes while stirring, then gradually pour in the milk while whisking.
Step 5
Let the sauce thicken for 3 minutes, then season with salt and pepper.
Step 6
Combine the pasta, broccoli, ham, and sauce in a baking dish. Sprinkle grated Gruyère on top.
Step 7
Bake for 15 minutes until the top is golden and gratinéed.
Step 8
Let rest for 2 minutes before serving.
