Pasta Gratin with Vegetables and Ham
A hearty gratin with pasta, ham, broccoli, and carrots, all topped with melted cheese. A classic family comfort food.
Ingredients
- 300 g Pasta (penne or fusilli)
- 200 g Broccoli
- 150 g Carrots
- 150 g Ham
- 150 g Gruyère cheese
- 30 g Butter
- 20 g Flour
- 300 ml Milk
- 1 tsp Mustard
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
Step 2
Cut the carrots into small dice and the broccoli into small florets. Dice the ham.
Step 3
Bring salted water to a boil and cook the carrots and broccoli for 5-6 minutes. Drain.
Step 4
Make a béchamel sauce: melt the butter, add the flour and stir, then gradually add the milk. Stir in the mustard, season with salt and pepper.
Step 5
In a baking dish, combine the cooked pasta, cooked vegetables, ham, and pour the béchamel over top. Sprinkle with grated Gruyère.
Step 6
Bake for 20-25 minutes until the top is golden brown.
