Pasta Gratin with Ham and Red Fruit Compote
A rich and indulgent gratin combining creamy pasta, ham, and homemade red fruit compote. Perfect for a Sunday dinner.
Ingredients
- 300 g Pasta (penne)
- 150 g Ham
- 100 g Blueberries
- 100 g Strawberries
- 80 g Raspberries
- 120 g Grated Gruyère
- 300 ml Milk
- 50 g Butter
- 30 g Flour
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the compote: place the red fruits in a saucepan with 2 tablespoons of honey and cook for 10 minutes over low heat, stirring occasionally.
Step 2
Cook the pasta in boiling salted water, then drain.
Step 3
Make a béchamel sauce: melt the butter, add the flour, then gradually pour in the milk while stirring. Let thicken for 5 minutes.
Step 4
Cut the ham into small cubes, mix the pasta with the béchamel, ham, and half of the Gruyère.
Step 5
Transfer the mixture to a buttered dish, top with the red fruit compote, and sprinkle with remaining Gruyère.
Step 6
Bake at 200°C for 15 minutes until golden.
