Cauliflower and Ham Gratin
A comforting French classic: cauliflower baked with cheese sauce and ham. Serve hot straight from the oven.

Ingredients
- 600 g Cauliflower
- 150 g Ham
- 100 g Gruyère
- 20 g Butter
- 15 g Flour
- 300 ml Water
- à volonté Salt
- à volonté Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Cut the cauliflower into small florets.
Step 2
Boil a pot of salted water and cook the cauliflower for 8-10 minutes until tender. Drain.
Step 3
Make a béchamel: melt the butter, add the flour, stir for 1 minute, then gradually pour in the water while whisking.
Step 4
Let simmer for 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Cut the ham into small pieces.
Step 5
Arrange the cauliflower in a baking dish, scatter the ham over it, pour the béchamel, and top with grated Gruyère.
Step 6
Bake for 15 minutes until golden. Serve hot.
