Cauliflower and Broccoli Gratin
A classic and comforting gratin combining cauliflower and broccoli in a simple béchamel sauce, baked until golden and crispy.

Ingredients
- 400 g Cauliflower
- 400 g Broccoli
- 40 g Butter
- 40 g Flour
- 500 ml Milk
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
- 1 pinch Nutmeg
Instructions
Step 1
Cut the cauliflower and broccoli into small florets. Cook for 8 minutes in salted boiling water.
Step 2
Prepare the béchamel: melt the butter, add the flour, and cook for 2 minutes while stirring.
Step 3
Gradually pour in the milk while whisking to avoid lumps. Cook for 5 minutes until thickened.
Step 4
Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Fold in the drained vegetables.
Step 5
Pour into a buttered dish and bake at 200°C for 15 minutes until golden.
