Broccoli and Carrot Gratin with Gruyère
A comforting and indulgent gratin with vegetables from your fridge, topped with melted cheese. Perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients
- 400 g broccoli
- 300 g carrots
- 150 g Gruyère
- 30 g butter
- 20 g flour
- 250 ml milk
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Cut the broccoli into small florets and the carrots into thin slices.
Step 2
Cook the vegetables for 10 minutes in boiling salted water. Drain.
Step 3
Make a béchamel sauce: melt the butter, add the flour, gradually pour in the milk while whisking. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 4
Mix the vegetables with the béchamel, pour into a baking dish. Top with grated Gruyère.
Step 5
Bake for 15 minutes until the cheese is golden and crispy.
