Cauliflower, Bacon, and Mustard Cream Gratin
A rich and comforting French gratin: cauliflower with mustard cream sauce, crispy bacon, and cheese. Perfect for a weekend dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 head Cauliflower
- 150 g Bacon
- 200 ml Sour cream
- 2 tbsp Mustard
- 80 g Gruyère
- 20 g Butter
- à volonté pinch Salt
- à volonté pinch Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Cut the cauliflower into florets and cut the bacon into small strips.
Step 2
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Blanch the cauliflower for 8 minutes, then drain.
Step 3
In a pan, cook the bacon strips over medium heat until crispy. Set aside.
Step 4
In the same pan, add the sour cream and mustard, mix well. Heat for 1-2 minutes without boiling.
Step 5
Butter a baking dish. Add the cauliflower, pour the mustard cream sauce over it, sprinkle with bacon and grated Gruyère.
Step 6
Bake for 15 minutes until the cheese is golden and the sauce is simmering. Serve piping hot.
