Simple Apple and Pear Cake
A tender homemade cake that's wonderfully simple, with fresh fruit folded into the batter. Perfect for afternoon tea or dessert.

Ingredients
- 250 g Flour
- 150 g Sugar
- 3 piece Egg
- 100 ml Milk
- 80 g Butter
- 1 piece Apple
- 1 piece Pear
- 1 pinch Salt
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Butter a round cake pan and dust it with flour.
Step 2
Whisk eggs and sugar until pale. Gradually add melted butter and milk.
Step 3
Fold in flour and salt gently. Peel, core, and slice the apple and pear. Add them to the batter.
Step 4
Pour the batter into the pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes until a knife inserted comes out clean.
Step 5
Let cool for 5 minutes before turning out. Serve warm or at room temperature.
