Molten Chocolate Cake with Pear Compote
A rich and decadent chocolate cake with homemade pear compote made from sweet pears. Perfect for a Sunday dessert.
Ingredients
- 150 g Dark chocolate
- 1 piece Apple
- 3 piece Pears
- 100 g Flour
- 150 g Sugar
- 100 g Butter
- 50 ml Milk
- 200 ml Water
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 2 tbsp Honey
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 170°C. Prepare the pears for the compote: peel and cut into pieces.
Step 2
In a saucepan, cook the pears with 100 ml of water, 30g of sugar and the honey for 15 minutes. Blend or mash.
Step 3
Meanwhile, melt the chocolate and butter together over low heat with the milk.
Step 4
Mix the melted chocolate with 120g of sugar, then fold in the flour and salt. Mix until smooth.
Step 5
Pour the batter into a buttered mold and bake for 25-30 minutes (the center should remain slightly molten).
Step 6
Serve the cake warm with the warm pear compote on the side.
