Egyptian Fattoush
A savory and crispy salad with feta, fresh tomatoes, cucumber and a delicious pomegranate vinaigrette, topped with crunchy grilled bread.
Ingredients
- 300 g Romaine lettuce
- 250 g Cherry tomatoes
- 1 piece Cucumber
- 100 g Radishes
- 0.5 piece Red onion
- 1 piece Pomegranate
- 150 g Feta cheese
- 2 piece Pita bread
- 50 g Fresh parsley
- 30 g Fresh mint
- 80 ml Olive oil
- 60 ml Fresh lemon juice
- 30 ml White wine vinegar
- 2 clove Garlic
Instructions
Step 1
Cut pita bread into triangles and toast in the oven for 8-10 minutes at 180°C until crispy.
Step 2
Wash and tear romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces.
Step 3
Cut cherry tomatoes in half, cucumber into cubes, radishes into thin slices, red onion into thin strips.
Step 4
Remove pomegranate seeds.
Step 5
Mince the garlic and combine with olive oil, lemon juice, vinegar, salt and pepper for the vinaigrette.
Step 6
Place lettuce in a salad bowl, add tomatoes, cucumber, radishes, and red onion.
Step 7
Pour the vinaigrette, sprinkle with chopped parsley and mint, pomegranate seeds, and crumbled feta.
Step 8
Add the toasted pita bread at the last moment, toss gently, and sprinkle with sumac if desired.
