Beef and Egg Donburi
A classic Japanese bowl where tender beef and silky egg meld with seasoned rice. A satisfying and flavorful dish ready in 20 minutes.

Ingredients
- 300 g sushi rice
- 250 g sliced beef
- 2 piece eggs
- 1 piece onion
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 1 tsp sugar
- 100 ml dashi
- 1 leaf nori
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
Instructions
Step 1
Cook the sushi rice according to package instructions and set aside.
Step 2
Thinly slice the onion. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the beef with the onion.
Step 3
Add soy sauce, mirin, sugar, and dashi. Simmer for 2 minutes.
Step 4
Pour the beef over the hot rice. Slide the raw eggs on top and cover to cook with residual heat.
Step 5
Garnish with torn nori and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
