Caribbean Djon Djon Rice
Tender rice in a Creole sauce with djon djon spice and a medley of vegetables. A traditional Haitian dish bursting with flavor.

Ingredients
- 300 g white rice
- 5 g djon djon powder
- 200 g black beans
- 200 g carrot
- 2 piece white onion
- 3 clove garlic
- 150 g fresh spinach
- 10 g fresh ginger
- 600 ml vegetable broth
- 5 g salt and pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Mince the onion, garlic, and ginger. Sauté in a pan for 3 minutes.
Step 2
Add the rice and stir for 2 minutes to toast it.
Step 3
Pour in the broth, sprinkle with djon djon powder, and bring to a boil.
Step 4
Add the black beans and diced carrots, cover, and cook for 20 minutes.
Step 5
Add the fresh spinach and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
Step 6
Let rest for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper before serving.
