Chickpea Curry with Rice
A savory and creamy vegetarian Indian curry, prepared with rice and enriched with chickpeas for added satisfaction.

Ingredients
- 150 g rice
- 300 g canned chickpeas
- 150 ml sour cream
- 1 piece onion
- 2 clove garlic
- 2 tsp curry powder
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch pepper
- 2 tbsp oil
- 600 ml water
Instructions
Step 1
Bring salted water to a boil and cook the rice according to instructions.
Step 2
Meanwhile, finely mince the onion and garlic, then grate the ginger.
Step 3
Heat the oil in a pot and sauté the onion and garlic for 2 minutes.
Step 4
Add the curry powder and ginger. Cook for 1 minute, stirring.
Step 5
Add the drained chickpeas and sour cream. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Step 6
Season with salt and pepper. Serve the curry over the cooked rice.
